Hi all. Been a while. I’m alive, but haven’t had the writing bug lately. Figured I’d give a quick update on what’s been going on.

Flying; I signed up for flight school before Christmas, and haven’t flown yet. All of my lessons have been cancelled due to weather. This week should be good. I got a letter from my doc to submit to the FAA. The medical examiner didn’t think the letter was good enough, since my doc isn’t a psychiatrist so shouldn’t be prescribing drugs. Umm, ok. To add to the kit, I wrote a letter as well and it should all have been sent in last week. If I don’t hear back in a few weeks I’m supposed to call and remind them to take my application out of the drawer and gaze at it blankly.

School; I took all the tests and got my GED in mid-December, scoring in the top 6%, so that makes me a high-school graduater. I’ve applied and been accepted to BCC. It’s not a huge whoop-de-doo university, but it’s a start. I have to take my placement exams in the next couple weeks, and registration starts March 6th.

Home; Kimberly and I got a new puppy. She’d always had them as a kid, so we got a beagle. Cute as can be, but a pain in the ass. I’m used to Toby, who cares about nothing more than where her people are. The beagle, on the other hand, wanders off as soon as you turn your back. We also got our plasma TV. It was my xmas present but were out of stock everywhere, but we finally got one. It’s on the wall over the fireplace, just in time for the Super Bowl.

Other; Anita recently had a birthday. Happy Birthday Anita!
