I’m all registered!
It’s official. I registered for my first quarter on Monday morning. My schedule is:
10:30-11:20 Sociology
11:30-12:20 Math
12:30-2:40 (T,Th,F) English
I think it’s a great schedule, with late mornings and early afternoons. I don’t have to get up early, and there’s plenty of time after classes for homework. Or boating.
Depending on how I do with the whole studying thing, I may add a fourth class next quarter, but probably something a bit easier. I wanted to take an entry-level computer course rather than Math, but I couldn’t find one that didn’t conflict with my other choices. Woulda been nice though. I could have done my IT homework while walking to my next class.
As most of you know, my original plan was to get my AAS then transfer to the UW, but I’ve been looking at other local schools. While they don’t exude the same whiz-bang-ish-ness of the UW, some offer some pretty alluring BA programs. The UW, unfortunately, does not cater to future therapists, but rather research psychologists. Other schools, however, have BA programs aimed squarely at creating counselors and clinical therapists, so their entry requirements are somewhat easier. This would mean that I would leave BCC without an actual AAS degree, but I could theoretically be moving on to my BA by fall of next year. We’ll see!
